Ajit Phadnis
- Mr. Ajit Phadnis a Civil Engineering graduate with more than 27 years of professional experience in the field of water supply, Village Water Safety and Security, WASH, environmental sanitation and NRM projects, in many states of India and in many other countries from Africa and Asia.
He has provided services at middle and top management level to Governments, NGOs, bilateral and multilateral agencies.
WASH sector interventions design at the project, program and policy level for government, multilateral and bilateral agencies in India and other countries.
Has vast experience in Technical investigations and preparation of detailed project report for water sanitation, NRM related projects, Capacity building of various stakeholders for WASH sector project planning, implementation and O&M including development of capacity building strategies and frameworks for Institutional development.
He had also worked on various Feasibility studies and on design of projects funded by bilateral and multi-lateral agencies in the water sector. Has expertise in Conceptualization, designing and management of community led processes in WATSAN sector.
He has managed the complex capacity building projects comprising of different components including training, technical support and project management services.
He has worked on various assignments related to functional review of government especially related to water sanitation sector. The assignments have been in the context of operationalization of reforms. He has also worked on the assignments related to the capacity building of various levels of PRIs, NGO for enhancing institutional capacities.
He has experience of working on development of policy and guideline at the national level both in India and in other countries as well as at all levels –national policy level to project implementation in rural and urban infrastructure projects in India.
Has Designed and delivered trainings, both of trainers and the practitioners in water, sanitation, governance and disaster management sector.
